Our goal in this project was to create and define a pedestrian and vehicular passage through three urban blocks that could also serve as a focal junction for residential and commercial elements. The passage provides a subtle transition between the many diverse cultural characteristics of the site.

By carefully defining the edge conditions of the passage, both programmatically and spatially, the passage also provides an effective transition between the private realm of housing and the public realm of street life.
