Nov,3th,2006, FUIUF- Fudan University’s first biennial Urban Forum

FUIUF- Fudan University’s first biennial Urban Forum , jointly organized by the Urban Planning Society of China, Harvard University, National University of Singapore, Shanghai Urban Planning Bureau and Center for Urban Studies at Fudan University, was recently held and sponsored by Urban DATA.

Experts Baoxing Qiu, Vice minister of Construction Ministry of P.R.China, Nicolas P. Retsinas, Director of Harvard University Joint Center for Housing Studies , Peter G. Rowe, Dean of Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, John Friedmann, Professor Emeritus of UCLA and Saskia Sassen of Columbia University were invited to discuss the theme of “Urbanization in China: Culture, Identity and Spatial Transformation”
Over 100 international experts and scholars attended the forum.
