Landscape
This project involves the implementation of approximately 850 meters of shoreline, divided into three thematic landscape zones: Pine Forest and White Sand Area, Seagull Viewing Green Hill Area, and Long Bridge Sunset Glow Area. Through the design of seven shoreline spaces—Green Island Fragrance, Pine Forest and White Sand, Forest Valley Ocean View, Vitality Hill, Seagull Viewing Green Hill, Seagull Sound Boardwalk, and Long Bridge Sunset Glow—the aim is to create a landscape atmosphere that embodies "vibrant vitality and a return to nature."
Among these, the Coastal Rain Clears section captures the ocean’s emotions, ranging from joy to the grandeur of clearing skies after rain. It conveys the intuitive sense of sunlight unobstructed after the rain, piercing through the sky to form a bright and refreshing natural spatial ambiance. Participants here include clouds, rain, rainbows, and wind.
Based on the northern urban coastal zone as a foundation, the project takes a holistic and human-centered approach to construct a waterfront leisure corridor that runs through the site. The three pathways (for walking, running, and cycling) can be opened or closed flexibly, seamlessly connecting the three major functional zones. Through design, an organic connection is established with the coastal embankment, striving to create more public coastal space interfaces.
Respecting the site’s characteristics and leveraging the coastline’s features, the project prioritizes the selection of suitable paving materials and native plant species suited to the local environment. The distribution and forms of trees are arranged with a balanced density, while from a human-centered perspective, upper and lower vegetation with varying textural beauty is configured according to the site’s functions, creating rich layers. Additionally, well-placed shelter spaces provide suitable areas for leisure and activities.
