Urban Planning

Project Background

Positioned as the western expansion zone of Fushan High-Tech Industrial Park, this 55-square-kilometer masterplan embodies the "industry-city integration" philosophy through actionable spatial strategies. The proposal bridges industrial planning with urban development by capitalizing on Yantai's existing strengths as Shandong Province's premier automotive manufacturing hub, home to multiple 100-billion-yuan industrial clusters.

The industrial vision focuses on upgrading traditional vehicle production while strategically introducing emerging sectors. By developing complete industrial chains for new energy vehicles, smart automobiles, and energy-efficient transportation systems - supported by advanced materials innovation and modern industrial services - the plan creates a closed-loop ecosystem designed to attract high-value enterprises and skilled professionals.

Spatially, the design responds to the site's advantageous natural environment through a polycentric network of specialized industry clusters. These nodes are interconnected by an ecologically sensitive blue-green infrastructure system that weaves together productive landscapes with high-quality living and working environments. The resulting framework promotes cross-industry synergies while establishing an innovation-friendly atmosphere that fosters creativity and talent retention.

As both an industrial accelerator and sustainable urban expansion, the plan demonstrates how strategic spatial organization can physically manifest economic transformation, positioning Fushan as a next-generation manufacturing hub where ecological preservation and technological advancement progress in tandem.
