Currently, half of the world's population resides in urban areas, with Asian cities experiencing particularly rapid urbanization. This urban growth demands new metropolitan strategies, development approaches, design concepts, and analytical methods. Contemporary metropolises require distinctive skylines that serve as urban fingerprints expressing their unique identity.

This study examined renowned skylines worldwide to establish methodologies for creating significant urban skylines in rapidly developing cities. Following this global research, the project focused on adapting and refining development approaches based on Kunming's specific urban context. The research outcomes present three distinct skyline proposals, each responding to different urban value propositions.
