Huangpu, Shanghai — The kickoff ceremony for "Gathering in Huangpu: Shaping the Future"—the 2024 internship program for young students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese communities—was held at Shanghai’s Shimao Plaza in Huangpu District. The event was jointly organized by the Huangpu Overseas Friendship Association and the Shanghai-Hong Kong Youth Association, with support from the Huangpu Hong Kong Federation and the Huangpu Branch of the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association.

The internship initiative has become a flagship program for exchange and collaboration between Shanghai and Hong Kong, as well as a key project under this year’s "Gathering in Shanghai, Building the Future Together" campaign. The launch ceremony showcased the vibrant culture and opportunities of Huangpu and greater Shanghai, while fostering a platform for cross-cultural dialogue and mutual learning among youth from both cities.

Uniting the Power of Youth

As the core central district of Shanghai and a historic hub for Shanghai-Hong Kong exchanges, Huangpu has officially launched the "Gathering in Huangpu, Shaping the Future" 2024 internship program for young students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese communities.

The program’s opening ceremony included the presentation of internship certificates to partnering enterprises, such as Huangpu Science and Innovation Group, PwC Zhong Tian LLP (Shanghai), United Law Firm, Lianquan Charity Foundation, Savills Property Services, Shen Zhijiang Auction, Yingli Investment, UrbanDATA Urban Design, Yuyuan Inc., and Sephora Cosmetics Sales Co. A flag was also presented to the University of Hong Kong’s intern delegation, marking the official start of this year’s initiative.
