This year, a series of cultural and tourism events have been held along the Yangpu Riverside, unleashing the vitality of the cultural industry and reigniting this waterfront industrial heritage exhibition belt. These activities have added a vibrant artistic dimension to the development of Yangpu Riverside.

Today, the Yangpu Riverside has achieved the "reuse" of its century-old industrial heritage, brimming with renewed energy and vitality.

Several events were held in and around the riverside shipyard area designed by the urbanDATA team. The Yangpu Riverside Shanghai Shipyard Public Space Transformation Project, designed by urbanDATA, includes the overall planning of nearly 1 kilometer of shoreline and the Expo Water Gate area, as well as architectural and landscape renovations. The team also designed the signage system for the 2.8-kilometer southern section of the riverside.

With the passage of time, the Yangpu Riverside—once hailed by UNESCO experts as "the world's largest remaining waterfront industrial belt"—has transitioned from a production-oriented shoreline to one dedicated to leisure and life. Through ingenious design, urbanDATA's team has transformed the riverside industrial heritage into cultural spaces that enrich the city's public areas, blending historical legacy with fun, artistry, and entertainment for future generations.
