From October 6 to 8, 2012, the urbanDATA team visited Seattle, USA, to study green building projects. The team toured the under-construction Bullitt Center, which is poised to become the largest green building in the United States, capable of generating its own electricity and water supply. Architects presented the building's design philosophy and sustainable technologies, including solar panels, water treatment systems, and timber structures.

During the visit, the urbanDATA delegation also examined other notable projects such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation headquarters, the Experience Music Project museum, and the Seattle Public Library.
