From July 8 to 10, 2010, Dr. Shan Wenhui was invited by the Helsinki University of Technology's Centre for Urban and Regional Studies to attend the 24th Annual Congress of the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP) in Helsinki, Finland.

This year's congress, themed "Space is Luxury," brought together scholars and experts in urban planning from around the world. Dr. Shan participated as a speaker in the parallel session "When Space is Luxury Meets Better City, Better Life," where she elaborated on the interpretation of space and the relationship between people and space as reflected in the theme of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.
